activision seems to be slow at dealing with this, but it seems that they'll send out a "kit" to fix/calibrate the drums, at worst they'll recall the drums.
i was split between the rb2 or gh4, but now i'm slightly leaning toward rb2 now, plus i was really sick of gh:aerosmith. gh is getting worse and worse...
the note charts are harder than GH3. lots of 3 button notes, a couple of 4 button notes, sequential sustained notes, sustained notes with tapping... it's really fun on guitar (go figure...)
that drum kit seems like a waste of money. you're paying an extra $200 or so for a metal frame that works fine as a plastic frame, and 2 more cymbals that do the same job as the ones on the original kit.
from what i've read, the metal frame is fully adjustable and the pads are really responsive. the other week, my RB1 set retired because it just got beat down so bad, and i've heard that the ion drum pads are a lot more durable and actually have a good rebound feel to them. i'm hoping it'll make certain songs less straining, like everlong.

i liked GH3's note charts way better than RB1 and 2, it's more varied and challenging even if the timing is way more loose
also considering getting me one of those $300 ion drum kits but damn. it's $300.
that reminds me
you still want me to pay for your wall?
