man, that's a whole 64 cents per hour raise.
raises in my company are typically 3-7% and while i'm hoping for one this year, i doubt i'll get it.
at least you got a raise, even if it is very small.

I know how much it is and it's a bloody insult to me. People should be given raises based on how hard they work. When I put in 70 - 80 hours every week for 4 months straight with no days off, I EXPECT to be given the respect of a decent wage. Secondly, you need to take into account the state I live in. 64 Cents after taxes is like an extra $10 a month in Cali. It doesn't help me. Not in the least. Third, if a company pays people based on a percentage, then how long must you work for them till you are making a respectable wage?

Employers should take care of their employees and not give them the shaft like this. And it's not wrong of me to expect to be paid accordingly for my hard work and dedication. When I sacrifice things in my life to make sure that my work is bar none the best and that it's all on time or early, I do expect some respect. A pat on the back does not put food on my table. It does not put money in my account. You give a little kid who's done well a pat on the back.
