You know, I'm starting to think moving back here might not have been the best idea. I've been looking for work for over a month now and I can't find jack, or in the case of the 1 game studio, they seem to think they can find someone in Houston with more experience than me...

I just need something to bring in some damn cash at this point! Fuckin'

Yeah, it's toally a f'ed up situation and it was for the game company here. But you know, it's there frakin' loss.

As for Midway and the severance package, they did give me a severance package. 1 pay period. That was it. Not 6 months, not 3 months, not even 1 month. 1 lousy pay period. Shows me what they thought of me as well.

It's really quite frustrating because you know, I was doing so well. I had my life going for me. A future. And now, it looks like it's slipping away from me. I just don't get it. I've got all these skills and talents and everyone I know see's that, but these businesses, they just don't see it.

To be honest, I'm thinking maybe it's time to form a team of people and try and go out there on our own. I'll catch ya on IM here soon and explain what I mean by that.

Honey, don't take it personally. My husband got one extra month of severance package when he was laid off. Those who had been with the company for more then a few years got more. My husband had been with the company for 2 years so it wasn't even a blip to them and they got their "plan" from J.P. Morgan. It's standard proceedure these days to listen to Wall street for what the going "severance" package is.

As for jobs etc. I honestly think Houston's in a slump for anything not medically related.
