In Case Anyone's Wondering

I'm all good. Apparently, I'm in the 15% of Houston that didn't lose power, well permanently at least. We lost power for about 3 - 4 hours early this am while the strongest of the feeder bands was going over us. For the most part, it looks like there's allot of debris and some areas of Houston have been really messed up. I haven't left the house ( Read more... )

We were also blessed with restored power. Glad to here you made it through. We did with as much entertainment as possible. One of our friends has branches all over her car, dents and a hole in the windshield, but that's replacable.

Yeah, loss of life for the most part right now seems to be quite low which is very good, though we won't know for sure till they get more crews out into the areas that were supposed to be evac'ed where they know some people stayed behind regardless of the warnings.

Fondren @ Westheimer area.

We've got power and water, however, our complex seems to be the only place in the area with power. The Wal-Mart and Target have no power, Target's open though, cash only. The Sam's Club next to Wal-Mart is closed but there are about 500 cars out there in the parking lot in lines to get gas from the gas pumps.

Last I looked, 1.9 Million of the 2.9 Million Centerpoint Energy customers are without power, only 290,000 have been restored. Synth Night Anniversary party has been postponed a week due to #'s not having power and water.
