haha you should! There's so much adventure, fun, comedy and heartbreak all in one series! IF you do decide, start with the ninth doctor. One series of 9th doctor, then 10th doctor David Tennant (HE'S DAMN FUNNY) for 3 series and then the current doctor Matt Smith (also funny, quirkY). hehe but I guess you can also start with the current doctor because you will be able to understand everything!
