So it's official, everyone in VT is a "wackjob," at least according to some Bush loving bloggers.

So Brattleboro makes it to the national news again... this time for something more important than nudity. TREASON! Or patriotism, depending on your view of the situation.

I think its great, actually. Especially the fact that they included Cheney. Everytime people start in on the "Impeach Bush" rant I feel like asking if they're crazy. If we impeach just Bush then Cheney will be President. Cheney is definitely the more evil of the two, its bad enough he's Vice President, lets not hand him the country, thanks. But both of them, now that's something I can get behind.:)

I told the guy the same thing and he said, "oh but we're not trying to impeach them, we want to indict them." I told him that I didn't think indicting them was going far enough, however that's as far as I'll go on this issue ;)

"Be American, not a sniffeling liberal town that sleeps under the shield of safety provided to you by your President," said another e-mail. "Vacation to VT CANCELLED!"

Vermont IS being American! One of the things about America is that we can create ballots like this and vote on them. That's what makes our country a democracy. The whole idea is to NOT roll over on our backs and accept whatever happens in our government. I hardly feel like we have a say in anything anymore, but at least Vermonters TRY to make their feelings heard.

Sheesh.

I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who said that in order for the government to be free from tyranny, there should be an organized rebellion every twenty years. Of course he also said that "the tree of liberty must from time to time be water with the blood of both tyrants and patriots alike, for it is the best fertilizer."

The person who made that comment was someone who follows the govt. lock step and without hesitation and is likely the kind of person who would have supported Nazi Germany were they German during WWII.

Exactly.

True patriotism is standing up to defend the Constitution, and this president has done more to shred that document than any other, and he deserves to face the full penalty of the law for his crimes against the American people.

My hat is off to the voting citizens in Brattleboro, who haven't forgotten about Democracy.

Besides, since when does threatening people make someone a patriot? Last time I looked, that made someone a violent ass.

:)

Yeah, it's not like any of these hill billy rednecks were ever going to come "vacation" here in VT anyway. Unless by "vacation" they mean come up to protest the funerals of dead soldiers or the rights of homosexuals.
