I just took my bike out for the first time since putting it down for the winter. It had a little trouble starting at first but once it was running I had no problems, which was a little surprising to me since I never performed any of the winter storage procedures. I figured the carburetors would have been gummed up or something.

Nice, how long have you had it? My friend Adam has been riding his 1978 Honda CM185 to work all winter long too, but he's hardcore, and also only lives about 6 miles from work.

i've had it for about 3 months now. I ride back and forth to work in cartersville pretty much everyday about 7 miles one way with and occasional trip to marietta or canton. i enjoyed reading about you and your bike since this is my first bike and i taught myself to ride the day i bought it
