I really would have preferred that my car *not* get stolen, but at least I won't have to pay for repairs/registration renewal/insurance on it if it doesn't turn up. And there's nothing like rotten crap happening to bring out a huge outpouring of love from my friends, who are pretty damn loving at all times ( Read more... )

1. Holy asscrappery. That sucks like a hoover. I, for one, would kick in to a "dude, where's my car" public transit fund, if such a thing were to make an appearance.

2. If anybody is equipped to overcome yet another little hiccup in life, it's you. Sadly, being awesome is not a viable defense against auto thieves. :-/ *hug*

3. Off topic, and I hope this isn't a terribly inappropriate time for me to say so, but WOW. Who is that woman in your icon?!?! I think I'm twitterpated. :-)

1) Thank you for the sympathy and the sweet offer! Fortunately, the bus system near my campus is free, though I had hoped never to have to use it.

2) It's not a marketable job skill, either. Fortunately, it works a charm for meeting great people.
