My rights

Oct 30, 2004 13:53

It is my right to choose NOT to vote. And I am proud of my choice. I don't have all the info on all the issues and therefore rather than making an uninformed decision I choose not to vote. There is NOTHING wrong with not voting. It's voting just because everyone tells you to that is wrong.

No offense but shouldn't you care who runs the country you live in? Should you care that the raves you love so dearly are now an issue on Congress? I mean DJ 's can now be arrested for playing at raves says the passed RAVE ACT...

I am a lover of the world and if you vote you not only take care of your country, and the way your country makes polices with other countries.

Also did you know that if Bush wins he will elect a Supreme Court Justice and then abortion will be made illegal. So women wwill we back at square 1 with no votes....... There is more to voting then just putting a president in, it is a matter of you being allowed to enjoy your life!

If you don't vote than you have no right to complain.
I hate Kerry, he's from my state, he's an arrogant piece of shit but you know what...I'm voting for him.
Bush has ruined alliances with other countries that took years upon years to build, he has sent our people, some being my friends off to die in Iraq and for what cos' he wants oil?
This man wants to take and keep away the rights of gays, women and practically everyone. He has cut funding for the homeless and the poor. He has made a disgrace of our country to the point where we are hated all around the world.
How can you not care what he is doing to our country where we have to live every day?
Not voting is like saying I don't give a fuck what happens.
You don't need to do a research study to figure out who to vote for, just pick up any newspaper or flip to any news station or simply open your eyes and see what the hell has happened since Bush was voted in.
I hate politics but you can bet your ass that I won't let that piece of shit run my country ever again...

Do you know how you got those rights in the first place? It certainly wasn't from someone like Bush. It's so unamerican not to vote. Bush will take away all of your rights if you don't give a shit enough to vote.
But if you wish to stay ignorant then please do so.

FINE I'M IGNORANT. At least I am NOT trying to take away someones right to choose. Go ahead and force people to vote. Take Lauren's idea and start fineing people for not voting and see what that gets you. Just a bunch of random votes from people who DON'T GIVE A FUCK!!! If someone wants to vote go for it, if they don't that's their CHOICE!
