I have always enjoyed the smell of oil paint - it's the linseed oil.

I love your painting.

One painting a month sounds doable. I want to paint too but usually don't - maybe I need to ask for only this much of myself also.

oh good for you!! and i like that painting very much. you did it! i think painting is SO hard ... i loved it when i took classes, but on my own it seems unachievable. oils are wonderful. when i smell them i almost cry, remembering such a happy (though difficult) time in painting classes. i can't wait to see what you do next? are you painting from memory or life?

thanks, I am using photos, magazine images, anything to get me started. And oil is harder than acrylic, but I
like the finish better with oil
