Kickstarter failure and observations

Well, my Kickstarter project failed. It's a shame but perhaps it's for the best. It definitely let me know that the market for Ruby on Windows isn't anywhere near what I thought it was. It also taught me a few other things. You may not like this ( Read more... )

I think the small market for Ruby on Windows is due to the small market for Ruby in general. We have a meetup group in Auckland in which we are trying to help people over the small humps when trying to use Ruby. I think we lose a lot of people due to difficulties getting started - especially people who use only Windows. So I hope you will continue with your many contributions and not let disappointments get to you.

Perhaps in time as Ruby adoption grows you can try again.
