Went to go check out a potential match for a talent agent/promoter yesterday with Lil Mike. The talent agent's name is Ted McCloud. I found him as I randomly sought out promotion help through the phone book on one of my days off. *snicker* thats another problem I had with this..no, he won't. And I'm still voicing my opposition to being called 'lil Mike'...ass. oh, and not like it matters but the artists name is 'The Ambassador'.

1) I know I'm not getting paid. Then again, I usually don't get paid for the convention gigs I play either. Why? Because I go on the inclination that if I do this one gig for simple exposure, bigger and better things may come out of it later. It's entertainer's karma. It's paying dues. I'm doing this with the potential that Ted can offer me bigger and better paydays down the line. His potential is something that I can't confirm or deny just yet, which is the confusing part. Plus, there will be people there who normally would never have seen me or heard me before. Now, I'm not stupid. I know that if this is all Ted can give me, there's no reason for me to stick around ( ... )

Lucas, you get paid at Convention gigs. It's just in the form of publicity, a room (or a night) and your CD sales.
