The Bodhisattva Vow

On Sunday, I'm taking the Bodhisattva Vow with Dr. Reggie Ray.  A friend of mine suggested I write an essay detailing why I wanted to do it (he has taken the Vow as well, and was told to do the same), so I did.  Here's what I wrote.

It went really well. The only part that was a "woah!" moment for me, really, was when we were given our Bodhisattva names. There were names like "Lion of Meditation," and "Peaceful Lotus Blossom in the Breeze" and stuff like that... I got the only name that could actually be Googled; my Bodhisattva name is Thousand Armed Avalokiteshvara. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avalokite%C5%9Bvara
