I pretty much decided to revive OHD and include BMPlay with it. I'm already paying for the bandwidth and the domain so I might as well use it. Before I put in the effort, I want some feedback ( Read more... )

How much traffic we talkin'? That will help me come up with the hardware you'd need that or i may have some laying around to donate to the cause.

Probably not much, but then again the server itself could act as a router in the absolute most extreme case. I'm trying to come up with a replacement for this old 3com wireless router- it's WEP only, doesn't allow a DNS to be redirected from inside the network so I have to access the local IP instead of ohiohatdance.com.

I'm much more concerned about the software selection (IPB vs vBulletin) at this point.

I've always been a fan of vbulletin, it just always seemed like the security wasn't nearly as bad and you can toss a lot at it while it still segments fine. I've never ran it on a machine so i'm not sure how that aspect of it is.
