You know a star is big when his death cripples the internet. These figures from valleywag are pretty amazing:

•       Leading news websites saw traffic surge to 4.2 million visitors per minute from around 2.75 million visitors per minute, according to Akamai.
•       CNN's traffic grew fivefold in one hour and the site clocked 20 million pageviews.

That album looms huge over my musical tastes-- with much thanks to the Q man. It was funk and disco and soul and something new that led me to looking into other hybrids in general and dance music in particular. MJ's best-- yes better than Thriller. There, I've said it.
