First, I'd put in a spoiler warning, except that it's virtually impossible to spoil this film. If you've seen the trailer, you know what happens in the film. If you haven't, you'll figure it out in the first 15 minutes. 30 tops

See, I kind of saw the Na'vi as a black stereotype - they all live in the jungle, wear loin cloths, and chant a lot. And when the going gets tough, the white man swoops down to save the day. I looked up all the character voices online, hoping that there were at least some white actors playing the Na'vi roles, which would lend less credence to my theory, but no - all the principle characters were played by black actors.
