Looks like I'll be marrying the lwa Ezili Danto at some point (possibly April).

Usually what happens is that when you marry one you marry the other at the same time. It provides balance and it keeps one from being too jealous of the other. I was actually kind of unusual (as usual) in only marrying Freda. She'll fuss a bit I'm sure and probably sulk, but she can't be too surprised. Besides I think marrying Danto will help calm and balance those parts of me that are a little tooooo Freda. She can be overwhelming on her own.

I am curious, how many can IWA can someone marry?

I don't know. I'm thinking that in Haiti the finacial pressures of the extra service you give that lwa and the expense of the ceremony tends to keep the numbers down to "as few as possible" but two seems to be the usual number if you marry more than one and seems to be done in an attempt to balance one lwa against another.

Yeah, Danto finally came knocking around in two dreams lately. The first one was basically a maryaj ceremony and her telling me what she wanted for offerings and such.

In vodou you can marry some of the spirits or lwa. I'll be marrying the lwa Ezili Danto.
