Hoodoo song

Today I got to catalog sheet music for a song from 1924 by Al Bernard called "Blue Black Hoodoo Blues". Here's the first stanza:

Woke up this mornin' uneasy feelin'

Somethin' was wrong with me,

Looked out my window, out on my porch,

What was it I did see?

Some salt and pepper, all in a circle, a rabbit foot in it laid.
