I'm so loving it here!!

Right now I'm sitting in the bar in the hotel, enjoying a smoke and some lovely scotch (Glenmorangie 15 yr sherry barrel). Surprisingly, there's lots of English conversation around me. I've decided to speak German if approached by anyone icky. With my luck, the ickies will speak German...

cut for length...but please read - it's fun! )

What a fun read!

I'm glad you are having a great time, hun :)

Makes me want to get some worldly travels in for this lifetime.

Glad you liked the read!

When I'm in a good mood, I love to write, so it's always nice to hear that people enjoy my writing. I've got 3 short works in progress, so perhaps one day you can read published work... ?

Definitely make room for worldly travels at some point. Easiest way to do that is to create a savings account and put away a few bucks every pay check. Even better if you can find an interest-bearing savings account. Then one day, you'll find that you've got enough $$ for a ticket overseas (look for specials out of NYC to Europe & then for cheap fares to NYC), and the most fun way to do it is to stay in the cheap places like hostels and the like. It's so worth it. Seeing the way the rest of the world works will change your life forever. This trip is definitely changing mine, and I'm only a couple days in! :)

I really like how you wrote this! Really fun to read.

I like red bean paste, much to my stomach's unhappiness.

If I could I would have tried to fit in your luggage. Matt and I have always wanted to go to Asia.

So glad you enjoyed the read. This is my general writing style when I'm not just jotting down something pointless in my journal. Which is why I plan to put together some *real* writing at some point in my lifetime...

Why does the red bean paste bother your tummy? Soy intolerance? That's a total bummer!!

You should so make it a point to visit Asia - it's like no other place. Very different from Europe and all the other places I've visited. Life changing to say the least.

Yep, major soy intolerence. :|

That's why I've been wanting to go to Asia...completely different world. :) Although the only place I have to compare it to would be Brazil or US. Haven't made it over the drink to Europe yet.

One of us needs to win the lottery so we can all afford to take a month or two off work and travel the world!! Or at least take a cruise together or something!!
