You wondered aloud during a recent phone conversation that you questioned the reason you lived through this experience. That is the right question. You don't know the answer, nor does anyone else, but there is a reason that you lived. This now fills me with hope. Hope that you will develop and maintain the energy and commitment to search for the reason. Hope that a lesson is learned. Hope that life will present opportunities to you for growth and increased understanding. Hope that, in some way, you will be able to pay your good fortune forward. On another level I am grateful. Grateful that you weren't killed. Grateful that your friend walked without serious injury. Grateful that the power pole was not a human being.
