I thought there was an expectation theory that goes along with this, but I may be wrong.
There are times when you have to expect things from others to avoid being hurt, but it does end up always making the situation worse. It is hard to have faith in humanity that does not have faith in itself. In an idealistic world people would be not be judged so quickly, but that world has yet to surface. Faith is a luxury that many people think they have and throw it around, but few ever see both sides of the coin.
Now this is odd for me to quote, but, meh.
“Judge not, less ye be judged and found unworthy.”
