Finishing a problem that I've been working on for months often feels anticlimactic. Especially when there was only a move or two that needed to be worked out. Having climbed the route over and over means that all the other moves are wired and flow once I get everything right. So the lack of effort means that I'm actually climbing better than I thought I was. But sometimes you need to grunt to really make it feel like an accomplishment.

This is a good metaphor for many things in life!
