This weekend was the 40th anniversary of wgh23's parents. A few months ago his mom asked me if I would do the cake. She was very flexible - she just wanted it to be tiered, pretty, and white with purple. Great! I thought - no problem ( Read more... )

o.k. you 2 look gorgeous and i would never guess it was almost 4am from that picture. secondofall, holy cow! that's whipped cream ? amazing. the "it was just like strawberry shortcake" makes my mouth water. violets and forgetmenots are right out of fairyland.

Aaaaaaaabsolutely - it would be my honor! I'm hoping to make it a business at some point. (Though for friends I've only been charging materials while I gain experience!)

And - it's easier than it looks, it just takes time and patience. :) That's the mystery! How to acquire time and patience!

Thanks, lady! I don't think I mentioned how HUGE this thing was. I have a feeling that the next time I do a regular sized cake I'll feel like it's a walk in the park.

Thank you - it's not as hard as it looks, but it was a bit of a project to be sure. I'm glad you like it. :) it it were yours, it would *definitely* be pink.
