New Year, new layout and some Culture with a capital 'C'

Dec 30, 2010 00:58

It's been my Christmas break from work so, although I'm not really rushing about doing a lot of stuff at the moment, I did take myself up to London yesterday to visit one of my favourite places there: the Victoria and Albert Museum. A lot like the Louvre in Paris in many ways but with less very worthy bits of archaeology and more, much more, ( Read more... )

Wow, the museum looks so beautiful! I love places like that. I would probably spend hours in there ^^
Your drawings are really amazing! You are so talented!! The costumes looked really beautiful ^_^

The ice rink looks so pretty. It's like winter wonderland ^_^

Your new layout looks great so far! Sorry I can't be of any help with your question ^^;;;

Have a very happy new year!!

Aww, thank you ^___^ I haven't drawn anything for a couple of years, it's nice to know I can still do it XDDD

Heheheh, it's a winter wonderland minus snow XDD All gone now~

Aww, don't worry, I didn't actually expect anyone to know the answers XDD I'll just keep experimenting *lol*

Happy New Year to you too! *hugs*

Wow, this is such an elegant post; your drawings look great! I would definitely not be able to draw such elaborate costumes so clearly, haha. I love the dress in the second drawing especially.

I'm glad you're enjoying a break :) I saw in your other comment that you've been lazing around, and I can definitely relate to that this weekend xD Although, that last picture is kind of making me want to go skating! It has such a deep winter vibe to it that it's almost like I can feel my fingertips freezing inside some fuzzy mittens just looking at it. xD

It's a bit late now, but Happy New Year! It's really nice to be catching up with you :D

Hehe, elegant?! Really? And thank you :D

Due to my lazy lack of checking comments, it's most definately too late now, but I'll wish you a happy new year back! And it's been nice to see you here again - maybe I need to sign into LastFM a bit more, you still hang out there regularly? :)

There are just so many pretty things in this post :D

Haha, I am the slowest with comments so it's never too late as far as I'm concerned! And I would love to see you on Last.fm! It's always fun to spam with friends there :3

Since I did my layout based on someone else's, I have no idea at all how to make it center ^___^;

So these are the drawings you were talking about. I'd love to see them made into real clothes~
Your drawing skill is a lot better than mine. You really pay attention to the details while I don't =D

I forgot to scan my latest drawing so I can't post it. When I remembered, the paper was already sealed in a package that I sent for a friend >__<
I'm not sure if I can draw something like that again. The details were killing me...

Ah, sorry late reply (m__m)

Oh well, not to worry, I'll figure it out sometime XDD

You're so kind *hugs* I do draw the details, but sometimes that means the overall shape goes out of the window, it's not always a good thing *lol*

If you do remember to scan the next one, I'd still love to see some of your work ^__^

Have you figured out how to center the header image?

After reading this entry, I stumbled upon an article about details in clothes. According to it, yours is almost perfect. It makes me start wondering if you ARE actually a pro.

If I have the scanner, I'd love to. But I don't have. I can buy the scanner, but my old PC won't be able to handle it. Maybe I'll buy it later, along with a brand new PC =D

*lol* not exactly, but I managed to shorten the image so it at least looks centred . . . but some of the right hand side is missing XDD Now for personalising it a bit^^

Eh?? Really? I can assure you that I'm not a pro, and although I did take art at school (looong agoXD), I haven't actually drawn anything at all for 2-3 years now. I think my drawing muse was sitting at my shoulder that day, which accounts for them coming out well XDD

Ah, yes, not so easy without a scanner, but that and a new computer would be good fun to save up for :D
