Report: TV Asahi Dream Festival 2011 - 23rd September

Sep 28, 2011 03:09

So, I'm finally writing my report after seeing the first day of the TV Asahi Dream Festival 2011 on Friday. Sorry for the delay but I know how long it takes me to do these things and I knew it would take me ages on one of those coin operated PC you find in hotels^^;;

Love it! It sounds like it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish (well, except for the Cro-Magnons). I would die to hear Garasu Dama live. And I am really itching to have my eyes blazed off by Tetchan's sparkle-mania.

I hope you post about your experience in Japan this time, because I'd love to hear more about what you did. Pictures are especially appreciated, too! ;D

It was so unexpected to hear Garasu Dama, best bit definitely :D Oooh, so are you thinking how you'll be able to make one of the World Tour lives in the US? (fingers crossed they'll add a West Coast date!) It was a real sight to behold, I think he was over-compensating for sk8terboy on vocals ;D

I seem to have managed to post an entry with pictures this time, so I'm sure a post or two about the rest of the trip could be arranged XP. Give me chance to sort through the pics though, I haven't even looked at them properly yet XDD

AWESOME! 8D Oh this is so exciting! I'd never have expected them to perform Garasu Dama at such a short live on a festival, but WOAH, it's so cool that they did! @__@ I'm glad you had such a great time! The goods look gorgeous, too.

Ikimono Gakari! TOKIO! OOH! You seriously need to check out TOKIO's "Sorafune" if you haven't already, it's the best JE song in the woorld imo. Though I bet they performed it, as it's one of their most famous ones. XD

Well, hullo there fellow Sherlockian fan (spying your icon there XD)

They were doing all the most energetic songs so I never would have guessed they'd throw in Garasu as their 'chill out' track in the middle, so nice! The goods ARE gorgeous, that pamphlet is so huge and hard back I was afraid it would put me over the limit for the luggage on the way back XDD I wasn't bargaining on having that by the end of my 2 weeks!

Ohh, yeah, I have checked out 'Sorafune', it now resides in the (small) JE folder on my MP3 player XDD They actually started off with that one :D

PS In case you didn't hear, news on Sherlock is they were going to be showing the next series now but then they decided to film some more episodes so it's looking like it will be January/February before we see any more, I'll let you know when it gets aired :D

There's no stopping the Sherlockness! 8D OMG WOAH THEY'RE FILMING MORE EPISODES?! Does this mean that a third season will be happening or maybe the second one will have more than three eps? Either way, that's so exciting and most likely worth the longer wait. Mhmm. 8D Please do keep me posted!

Oh yeah, that's what I heard XD I thought that I read somewhere it was originally going to be Season 2 with 3 episodes (like Season 1), but now it's likely to be 6 episodes for Season 2, but that's unconfirmed as yet though and now I can't find anything saying it now I'm looking XD. Hope it's true though. Of course, Martin Freeman filming The Hobbit probably hasn't helped the schedule either^^

What a wonderful report! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I've always wondered what it would be like to go to a festival like this and have to sit through many acts other than the one you're there to see ^^; Your description of the Cro-Magnons was pretty funny hehe ^^ I like Ikimonogakari so glad to hear they did well ^^ Ah~~ Garasu Dama! How awesome!! L'Arc sounded so awesome! ^^ Btw, the cookie card is so cute! ^^ I'm so happy for you that you had such a wonderful experience ^^

Ahh, thank you *chuu* I always feel my reports leave something to be desired, I just couldn't remember the details of each song and how everyone acted, so it's pretty much just a list of songs. And you must know yourself how hard it is in the dark to write notes - all I really did was write down the song titles and even then I managed to write some one on top of the other XDD We were pretty nervous of just how many acts we would end up having to go through, they added the Cro-Magnons to the line-up much later on, lucky it wasn't more . . . or worse, if that's possible^^;;

I had to have that Cookie card case!! I wasn't sure what it would actually be - I don't think it opens but there's a slot in the top so I think it's to put a SUICA or PASSMO card into. There's a chain/clip as well so you can just hang it on a bag and press the card case against the reader when you go into a train station. It's huge though, much bigger than a real biscuit XD

I thought your report was really good! I could really feel how much you enjoyed it ^_^
