Etiquette question

So a friend of mine is having a wedding reception on the 26th. Now, the invitation said to call to RSVP. K, I can do that. However, it says nothing about bringing a guest? Does this imply that I'm not allowed to bring someone with me?

usually depends on how the invite was addressed. If the invite says your name plus guest, then sure. Otherwise, I'd ask....or maybe assume not?

I would assume so ... some friends of mine got married last year, and do to the cost per person of the recetion .. he rule was .. if you are not living with or married to your date .. you were going solo. Most of the time it will say '+1' if a guest was allowed.

Etiquette would dictate that unless the invitation states that you may bring a guest, or if the RSVP card includes a space for specfiying the number of guests you're bringing or the guests name; it's meant just for you.

Depending on how close you are to them (in the wedding party? close relative?) it may be appropriate to ask.
