Well, Hezebollah rejected Rice's plan for international peace-keeping troops. But then again, what are those troops gonna do? It's not like that's working very well over in Iraq...
Frankly, there's very little if anything at all that would resolve the conflict once and for all. And that's just sad and depressing.
It is also sad and depressing how the US is quick to make war, and reluctant to speak out for peace. It just bugged me how bureaucratic we got at the suggestion that we talk about a cease-fire. *sigh*
Wasn't there a time not long ago where the US was the leader in mediating conflicts and trying to resolve tension in trouble spots? Oh yeah....that would be the same time where the US was respected and liked by a lot of the nations of the world, too. :P
