You just described my day almost exactly. Just replace `cross stitch` with `descend to Dante`s special hell for lit students`, and we could almost be twins.

It`s beautiful up there! I wish it wasn`t so expensive to go. We`re probably going to visit Tottori before GW, but still, hard to beat Hokkaido for peace and quiet...

Ooh, take some pictures as you're toiling through the sand dunes, anyway. We gots plenty of quiet here, that's for sure...if I lived alone, I could literally go for several weeks without having to speak to anyone but the grocery store clerk when I backpacked out for supplies.

I will! We actually went last year, and I became obsessed with nihonkai(why is anyone`s guess...). I`ll try to put some pictures up. About an hour away is the Kitaro themed town...monsters up and down the street. They do tourist traps right.

Me too! For someone who`s spent most of their adult life in major cities, I can really do without people pretty well. Start to go a little weird(ala The Shining?) after about a month though. Enjoy the silence for me. :)

Miss you cuz. I hope and pray that things will get better. I have found that humans are wretched creatures, but individual people can elevate beyond the wretchedness.
