Today was a great day. We went exploring in Yokohama. The pictures are in reverse order. On the way home we found a traditional sweet shop that gave us a sample and tea, and we got some sweets to take home. Japanese sweets are one of the few sources of junk food for me right now on my dairy-free diet.

Today Soi left on a business trip for 3 weeks to Sweden. Originally we were all supposed to go for a few months but it got downgraded. In theory I don't really mind business trips (though Soi hates them passionately) because it gives me some solitary time. Soi and I are both loners by nature. It's been miserable weather here...there's a rainy period in late November/early December every year just as it's turning properly cold that sucks. However, coming from unpredictable foggy East Tennessee where it has a tendency to rain off and on continuously, I can't really complain, except for not being able to dry laundry ( Read more... )

The main reason I've stopped posting other than exhaustion is that I've been feeling really negative for a long time. Any time I try to sit down and write it's just poisonous.
