On a rare occasion your parents would drop you off in public and you could go off and have fun without them watching over you. I gotta say, the imagery and feeling associated with the rollerskating rink ring completely true to childhood. It's just one of those quintissential things that make me think of good times when I was young. Every memory associated with rollerskating is happy, cheerful, and exciting. Arcade games, hot dogs, birthday parties, crushes - innocence.

What I wouldn't give to experience that again, even if it was just for one more day.
