Whatever your political leanings this year, or whatever you may think about General Colin Powell, what he said on Meet the Press Sunday morning is a powerful reminder of what the US of A is supposed to be all about (something that some of us have lost sight of in the heat of the campaign). I watched the replay of MTP last night, what Powell said was fantastic, the REP's have to be just freaking out today.

On a much crazier note, did you see what Michele Bachmann said on Hardball last week?

Makes me ashamed to be a Minnesotan.

Going into the campaign, I thought the MN House delegation would stay 5/3 with a possible 6/2 if Madia ran a flawless campaign in the 3rd. And I was pretty sure Coleman would hang on in the Senate. After Bachmann's Hardball performance, Tinklenberg has brought in something like $640K in 48 hours. Her McCarthy-esque comments may have cost her the election.

If the tide keeps flowing toward the Democrats, MN could be 7/1 with 2 Blue Senators, erasing any thoughts the Republican party had of making this a "purple" state.

I read about Tinklenberg's fund raising. That is so awesome.

Honestly I don't think many people even know who was was running against Bauchmann before this weekend. I still think Tinklenberg has a really tough row to hoe, but at least now she has an outside chance.
