Yup for the moment we're hanging out here, we've got plans going though. We're getting ready to hunker down for the winter and be mondo creative. Then load up and go play/sell at festivals all summer. Ideas and planets are coming together. Hey we have a kid now, didya hear? his names Phoenix, he rocks!

My first impression was his acerbic wit. hes quite a character. I am using him to help me write against the post-humanist (read: humanist) cyber-theory written in the 80s,90s,00s and so far its working...

Excellent. yeah I wanted to use that text to help describe the shift from the Romantic university to the "crisis of the humanities" in 1960s France. I know Lyotard writes specifically about the university in his Political Writings, but I might use the other one in a discussion of the nostaglic return to concepts of essential humanity as they emerge in Humanities fields in the 21st century.

yes, that sounds good. If you just read the intro "About the Human" its 8 pages and lays out his attack quite simply and its all you might need.

dearest prawns,
i saw your zine for sale all the way down in bloomington, indiana at a co-op bookstore. your beautiful little book is traveling far and wide. yay microcosm!
that class on boredom sounds fantastic. i so so so wish ubc had awesome classes like that. i am taking a couple of classes that i'm excited about, though - one about slave societies in the americas, then one about power in urban spaces. other than that, though, i'm just glad that this is my last semester.
it was rad hanging out this summer - camping, etc. can't wait to have tea with you again!

you absolutely should do the $ + photography project. And then you should post photos of it on the internet for the rest of us to enjoy.

Also, (and i love that i'm about to write this), that boredom class sounds so interesting!

AND there's an artist working at the WF right now that has your body and your style. His name is Ujino and he's from Japan. It makes me so ecstatic how much he reminds me of you. Sometimes when he's far away or facing the other direction i like to imagine it's you. When i told him that he reminds me of you, he asked if you were Japanese and i said no.

doppelganger!
