Is there any reason to believe that Obama is a progressive? I'm already several steps down the lesser-of-two evils path, just wondering how much farther I must go. I'd most prefer anarchist revolution, but that's not happening anytime soon. I'll settle for libertarian socialists taking over the government using elections, but that's probably even less likely. I'll make do with getting an independent social democrat in as president, but that's not too likely. I'm resigned to supporting someone from the left wing of the democratic party, but they have no chance in winning the primary. So I'll hold my nose and hope for a progressive

i saw his speech on race and was completely enraptured. if he doesn't take the nomination i'm going to abstain from the general election.
