Yup, the Harper government announced 5 million dollars for women's programs today. While this is good, I'm also going to point out that it's just replacing the 5 million they took away when they closed 12 of 16 women's centres across the country ( Read more... )

At least they're putting the money BACK! Christ, I was so angry. Do you have an idea how they're going to use this money (reverse what they did or start a whole new program with their own agendas?)

Anyway, we haven't met - I saw you perform at the Robotica Fundraiser. Awesome. Might I add, my friend enjoyed your closer so much, she nearly had a stroke.

I totally agree with you about not seeing the end of her even though she's not seeking re-relection. I'm not sure how they are planning on using the money, but I'm sure they won't be reopening the centres that they closed.

LOL, yeah it is kind of funny.
We actually have another fundraiser show this Friday at Goodhandy's. 10 of us are going to Washington, DC for Great Big (a huge drag show). We're actually making history for Toronto cause we've never perform as such a huge group anywhere let alone at a show this hard to get into...we have Flare to thank for sharing his spot.
