This was good. Most of those "Jack retcons himself" stories aren't very believable but this one I really liked.

Wow, this is an amazing explanation for Jack's missing 2 years! I love Ianto's calm competence here - all too often he's written as some sort of defenceless woobie - but here he really shows what he's made of and that he's more than a match for past-Jack. Excellent idea, brilliantly handled.
