I've decided to give up coffee for a month.

I need to know what and who I am without caffeine.

By many accounts of those who have given up coffee, who you are without caffeeine can be any or all of:

1. Less high-strung
2. More able to sleep
3. For the first few days, a bit more tired
4. After that, neutral to more energy
5. Perhaps mildly hungrier

...and since you list specifically Starbucks (though other cafes count for this as well):

6. A tiny but potentially noticeable bit less poor

I think you've made a good choice, and I wish you an easy transition.

Light and laughter,
SongCoyote

*hugs* to you... I know that kind of thing can be a bitch to do, but well worth the effort. Best of luck and much success to you. And tell flappy face to back off and support you rather than be his typical annoying self!

It will be an unmitigated pain for the first few days. I felt like HELL when I quit. But it really helped my brain chemistry to level out and fly straight.
