What Im thinkin, and i may be wrong, is that Marty doesnt have anything to do with this partiular thing, I think this was just based on the photographer, and either.
1.)Mine didn't care cause it was Kerry and you had to take yours off cause it was Bush

or more likely

2.)You got a bitchy photographer who didn't thin you should wear a pin for the picture.
