TV Thoughts

Being on travel for work, there was time for Hulu. Some not so coherent thoughts on the shows I watched. Spoilers below.

Was I supposed to care about the whole Tony/Ziva thing. Cause I didn't really. I did however think the whole McGee trying to be a leading man thing was cute. And generally, he's not someone I notice in the show. He's not my type. But he's been fun lately. Also, totally found Tim to be all kinds of cute in the scene with Ziva on the coffee break. And I could see Tim/Ziva. I could. She's different with him alone.

In fairness, I only watched 15 minutes before the boredom became too much so possibly I missed later brilliance. But I was not drawn in by their predicament. It mostly seemed like BSG crossed with Voyager. Been there, done that, lost interest in both of those shows. Don't need to repeat. And Teal'c didn't get a cameo, so it fails. ;-)

So someone on my list recommended this with a comment that it has it's own voice, kind of like Buffy had it's own voice (sorry, I forget who, but you got me). I can see that, not in the same way, but it is very unique. It also has a lot of 80s music, which I like. I ended up being interested enough to watch all 5 of the eps so far. It's cute. I love the cheerleading coach. I love that Rachel is annoying, but sometimes very insightful and sincere. She's very much a high school kid in that way. And I kind of just find the annoying to be endearing because I suspect that someday she'll grow out of it. Some of the situations are preposterous, but it's the style of the show, so, okay. Will is all kinds of cute. The one thing that bothers me though is that they've set up his wife as being terrible so that you don't feel as icky about all his flirting with Emma and his old high school crush. But it still feels icky. But other than that, I like it. I'm drawn in.

Man, the Packers are just stinking up the field and Favre is having a huge game. *sigh*
