That's AWESOME! It sounds like Joe likely worked here when it was still RCA, I sent an e-mail to some of the guys I know who worked here in the late 70s/early 80s.
Obviously I'll be checking out the collection. Is it really a truckload?! Thank God you've got your own place now...
yeah, the books fill my living room and it's a bear trying to organize them into psychology, physics, comp. programming, textbooks, magic, etc. i'm sure you'd be interested in some of it. he also was into the chinese language so i have a bunch of translation books and things like that. you can come check 'em all out whenever...i paid $200 for the lot and i checked out a few of the magic books and it looks like i can probably get my money back by selling FOUR of them...they are pretty much ENCYCLOPEDIAS of magic...
The old textbooks are probably pretty worthless, but some of the computer stuff may have some value if it's rare. Sinec he worked on some significant developments in computer hardware and architecture he might have some stuff that would be valuable to a collector, it's a shame you couldn't get any of the old hardware or drawings.
there are some processor manuals from the 70s that look to pull in some good money. he had a ton of books on vector analysis and algorithms but i haven't had a chance to check prices on it. man, the more i unpack the more i realize that there are thousands of books here. this will keep me busy for a while...
