I love horror fiction. This isn't a real good time for written horror, because most of what's coming out is in the sub-genre of "paranormal romance", which is often horrifying, just not in the good way. Stephen King is still plugging away, but honestly, I haven't really enjoyed anything of his since the Stand. Peter Straub still churns them out ( Read more... )

You read the werewolf trilogy by Anne Rice's sister, Alice Borchardt? While the concept of werewolves in Ancient Rome is kind of nifty. The books are not so much. The cool characters have itty bitty parts, and the self-absorbed emos are front and center. I had hopes. They were dashed. *sniffle*
