Instead of doing the things I was supposed to do today, I watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. The latter was slower than the former, but wow! I've tried to the read Dragon Tattoo twice now and I still haven't managed. Now I have to give it a third try.

I loved how situated it was in Sweden and Swedish society

Not necessarily straight-up crime fiction (more a crime/fantasy/horror mix), but one amazing Swedish book is Let the Right One In. The Swedish movie is OK and I've heard in some ways the American remake improves upon that movie, but the book is just flat-out incredible. Highly recommended!
