Dakota is really sick with we're not sure what, and it is really killing me. He's been throwing up since 2 am and it's not stopping. Plus he's having surgery tomorrow morning. It's times like this when I feel completely overwhelmed about living by myself.

The end of the semester is almost here, and what am I doing? Driving back to VA for a week to visit the family for Thanksgiving. It takes about 28 hours to drive straight through, so that's two days gone for travel. It's really important for me to get up there though, especially not knowing how things will work out with my grandma's health. Anyway ( Read more... )

I can't believe this semester is almost over. That is so unbelievable. I'm really behind in my own classes, haven't even started on the main papers. But the classes I'm teaching are going surprisingly well. Especially considering I had no prep time before the semester started. I'm really enjoying teaching. Much more than I thought I would. Has been so long since I wrote on this thing. Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads it? Does it matter if no one does? Isn't there some sort of benefit of getting thoughts out in writting? HOLY FREAKIN COW......... I got my assistantship assignment for this year, and, ladies & gentlemen, I will be TEACHING. Two sections. Yikes. That's crazy. I can't believe it. You usually have to have your masters first, but it's a brand new class and I will be the first one teaching it. i can't believe it. I don't know if I'm ready for this.

I can't remember if I mentioned the wheel being stolen off my car, but just in case I did, here's a new part to the saga: someone stole my license plate. Right off my car. Right in the parking lot.
