“Oh, Oh-chan. Long time no see.”
Ohno pushed up the bill of his cap high enough to greet the older man properly. “Okada-kun,” he murmured with a sleepy nod, shuffling into the elevator and settling alongside his sempai.
A soft chuckle escaped Okada and Ohno swayed a bit when his shoulder was bumped playfully. “Your sunburn really is as bad as everyone says it is,” Okada mumbled around his hand, his eyes dancing with mirth as he inspected the now peeling sunburn peeking out from the collar of Ohno’s shirt.
Ohno ducked his head, his hand coming up to swipe sheepishly at the back of his neck. “I really don’t understand how I got so burnt,” he mumbled, mostly to himself. “I used that sunscreen that Jun-kun gave me, too.”
Okada chuckled again at the younger man’s genuine confusion. “I really don’t think that’s the issue that’s got management all worked up,” he murmured, shaking his head when Ohno’s confusion only doubled. “’s ok,” he said, adjusting the brim of his hat as he checked what floor number they were passing.
The two idols rode in companionable silence, office workers and the like getting on and off the elevator as they continued their ride to the top, where the dressing rooms were.
“I don’t think I ever thanked you,” Okada finally said when they were alone again. Ohno looked up, trying to think back as to what the other man could be thanking him for, but couldn’t, for the life of him, put his finger on it. Okada smiled, small and shy. “For quitting V6 all those years ago.”
Ohno grinned as he considered that. “It worked out pretty well in the end, huh?”
“It really did,” Okada grinned back as he reached out to grasp Ohno’s shoulder tightly. “For the both of us, right?”
Ohno’s grin widened as he nodded in agreement. “Please take care of me, sempai,” Ohno said with a small bow, the irony making Okada let out a bark of laughter.
A/N: Awww, nothing like a little inter-group love to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
