Oliver looked around the clock tower penthouse as he set down his suitcase. He'd paid a great deal of money to have all of their things moved and arranged ahead of time. Of course, knowing Mia, she'd probably rearrange everything herself anyway. He glanced over at her, raising his eyebrows.

"So what do you think?"

Mia glanced around her head tilting slightly. The apartment was nice, then again she didn't really expect anything less from Oliver. Most of his places redifined the word nice

She let out a small sigh, "I think I'm going to miss the beach," She teased and as an afterthought added, "And the half naked guys." She sent a sideways grin in his direction as she dropped her duffle bag on the ground.

He grinned back at her, shaking his head a little. "There are beaches here. Just...not ocean ones." He moved over toward the sliding glass doors that led to the balcony. "Come check out this view."

Mia chuckled as she followed behind him. "What exactly is the point of the beach without the ocean? How do they surf? I mean-" Her voice trailed off as she caught sight of the view from the balcony.

Her eyes widened as she moved towards the railing. "Wow, the view is gorgeous out here Ollie," She said sending him a big grin before looking back out at the city below them.

He leaned on the railing, looking down. When he'd seen the property for sale, he knew it would be perfect. It would allow him rooftop access for night time patrolling, and it would help him maintain his reputation as an eccentric billionaire. After all, how many people actually bought a clock tower to live in? Throw in the view, which he'd known Mia would love, and the plan was pretty golden.

"Yeah, it is," he agreed.

She felt his gaze on her and she glanced over at him arching an eyebrow. "Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked as she put a hand on her face.

"Is there something on my face?" She frowned moving her hand around wiping it lightly.

He smiled a little and shook his head. "No, I was just thinking." He cocked his head to the side for a moment, then moved over to sit down beside her. "I've been doing some thinking."

Mia noticed the look on his face and she swallowed hard a hint of anxiety pulling at her stomach as she angled her body so she was facing him. "Don't hurt yourself," She joked her body tensing slightly. When in doubt, add humor it was one of her many motto's.

He chuckled softly, leaning back against the sofa. "Cute. Really." He shook his head. "I have a question to ask you and I want you to know before I ask it, that it's okay to say no if you're not comfortable with it."

She was quiet for a minute, her expression conflicted for less than a second as she glanced up at him a small smile on her lips. She squeezed his hand back gently.

"Okay, let's make it official...If you're sure I mean," She said trying not to come across too excited at the prospect of having an real family. Two people made a family didn't it?

He grinned at her response. "Yeah?" His eyes were bright as he gazed at her.

Mia smiled, "Yes," She paused meeting his eyes. "I really like it here with you." She told him softly not used to sharing her feelings with people. "I enjoy your company," She said quietly before feeling slightly sheepish at her confession.

She cleared her throat and a gleam in her eye. "So...How does this work? What do we do?" She asked.

"I enjoy your company, too," he said sincerely, his smile filled with warmth. "We'll need to come up with a back story. Something that's believable." He considered her for a moment. "Long lost cousin maybe. And me being your own living relative and vice versa..." He winked.

Mia tilted her head back and nodded. "Well you are a lot to deal with," She teased before her face softened.

"But for the record...I don't know that we'll ever be even. I don't think you realize what you've done for me here...what you've given me." She told him quietly. "I just want you to know that I appreciate it."

An amused smile touched his mouth at her teasing words. "I'm aware."

His own expression softened and he nodded a little. "I know you do, Mia. And it means more to me than you know, too."
