Somebody in my building is having a moving sale that includes a "Walt Disney Electric Musical Flower Lamp...Plays 'It's a Small World.'"

Just how evil do you have to be and how much do you have to hate somebody to give them something like that?

Update: As I'm sure you were, I too was surprised to discover that such an abomination actually exists

Totally depends on the toy. I'm not a big Disney fan or fan of licensed toy products for kids. So it would depend on how it looks. I like the song It's a small world but can imagine not after hearing 5 million times. But I'm really good at blocking out these sorts of kids things.

If someone gave me something like that and it drove me nuts I would be sure to return the favor.

I'm pretty sure it's not licensed. It's made in Taiwan and doesn't have the Disney name on it anywhere. It's the most gloriously kitschy thing I've ever seen. It's got silk flowers with fiber optics behind a plexiglass rectangular prism with a black base and back. You have to wind it up to get it to play the song, like a music box. It's completely awesome.

I love the song, believe it or not, but you really should give it to someone who doesn't, just for evilness.
