They took my mother in for surgery on Friday at midnight. The operation took two hours and she seems to be doing well. The doctor told her today she would probably be released in "a couple of days" which we're taking to mean Wednesday. I emailed my boss and got another week off so I could take care of her when she got home. (I was originally
