Before anyone says anything, I don't think all Christians are like this, it's just the few too many wackjobs that get on my nerves

This is exactly why I'm non-evangelical.

Further to the point, I'd be hard pressed to find any Christian church that I'd feel welcome in and was geared in a direction that was helpful to me rather then focusing on spoon-feeding people what has become the dominant conservative right wing interpretation and socio-political ideals rather then a place for discussion and sharing of people's unique and personal beliefs and thoughts on the matter.
