Robert Downey Jr movies

So for my trip I am buying a new movie and music for my ipod. I was going to get another robert downey jr movie but I cant decide which one to get. I already have Iron Man. I was thinking of getting chaplin or the singing detective, but I am not sure of which one to get or if i should get a different one. Anyone have a favorite they like to suggest

i was not to sure about a scanner darkly was it really good? what was it about?

I liked it. It was very interesting to watch because of the way they postproduced it. It's based on a story by Philip K. Dick, the guy who wrote Minority Report.

I can't do anything, but to gush about it It shows Robert's acting chops from the get-go as it's early work. Then there's the content thing....Sherlock Holmes aside, this movie is about a drug addict so I was thinking about themes that were already near and dear...there's an Ot3 Dynamic and everything :p

The Singing Detective is a fabulous movie, and RDJ is the icing on the cake.

It's so funny.. I was hesitant to watch it, but my man (whose wants me to do a number to number list now for this...lol) is a RDJ affectionado and said I HAD to. The singing Detective is a really interesting, surprising movie....you have your share of 'wtf' moments, but I was pleasantly surprised.

1. Less Than Zero (as Said)
2. Chaplin (as said)
3. Singing Detective (as said) but in THAT order...*smirks and rollseyes* I don't doubt he has his reasons I maybe bothered to ask ....Here we go:
"Less Than Zero" made him Renowned. Chaplin keeps establishing him with a Oscar nod...Singing Detective is interesting and different."....Yeah he's kinda a fanboy...I'd say it's even like his Lisa.

I am having a tough time picking between chaplin and the singing detective. alot of you guys said the singing detective but I am not sure if I want young robert downey jr which is hot! or the funny robert downey jr which is also hot! I think I am leaning more towards the singing detective though. thanks!
