Home Again Home Again, Jiggity-jig

No, I didn't go to a market, no I didn't buy a fat pig.
But the line gets stuck in my head sometimes.

But I am so glad I went.

Didn't stop at Everett's, but I did visit Belwah -- pictures eventually

And the wedding was .... magnificent.
Didn't do much gallavanting around Madison, but 'the Beloit row' at the temple, and 'the beloit table' at the reception made for good times.

I even rediscovered my hopeless romantic-osity.
Yep, I'm back to arguing that the fleeting good times of relationships are worth the downsides.
Sometimes I make myself sick with this kind of .... optimism? But I am back to believing it.

Plans of course never work out as ... er... well, planned.
But... I think the outcome was mostly positive.
And any time someone stops lying to me I feel better.

And today, I once again impressed myself.
Despite quantities of construction 'round the UW Union and environs I successfully, and without the aid of either map or gps device, drove directly and without distraction to Booked for Murder. Exactly where I remembered it. I was absolutely miserable at trying to describe how to get there, but I was right nonetheless.

The only stop I expected to make that I didn't: Blue Lotus Tattoo/The Piercing Lounge (at least I could've picked out a new stud for my tongue, probably have gotten the T-Shirt I fell in love with, and maybe even priced a tattoo or two (I still have to finish designing mine before I decide if I'm ever going to actually get it). I think it's the first right after Broom merges with University, but I never put myself in the correct lane to get a good look or make that turn [edit: yes, in fact it is, and my hotel was only one or two exits further west on the beltline from their westside location. I should've made a stop. darn. Have to go back I guess. Maybe I can make a day of it with Robin?]. I did, however, find the apartment building I was all set to live in during my abortive attempt to move to Madison. I had forgotten it was right across the street from a bar (granted, around the university, that's not hard, but still). Couldn't remember how to get to he Emma Goldman Co-op though. I was on Gorman, and I know it's one of those mini streets that dead-ends at the lake off Gorman, but it's been .... SOooo many years since Sarah Allen lived there that my locator beacon must have faded by now.

So, I'll be doing the whole photo-upload thing later.
First: FOOD!
