Oh right! I have one of these!

Almost forgot.
Maybe I should use it.

Okay, here I am using it.
Oh, I should actually talk about something.
Oh, um, okay.

Well .....
Remember my summer-long mantra of "I need to get out more"?
it works.

So a few weekends ago I had a date and took her to TMLMTBGB.
In a way, she was my excuse, for you see, prior to the month of September, despite at least three encounters with TMLMTBGB, I had never been to the Neo-futurarium itself. And thus, taking a date there provided the perfect opportunity.

On the upside, TMLMTBGB!!!
I mean, come on! It's TMLMTBGB!!!

On the downside, I totally geeked out and I think I scared her off with my squees of joy and geekish glee as I was so excited just to be at the Neo-Futurarium.
I ended up going two nights in a row as I used meeting up with other friends there as a way of ditching out of the boring parts of my H.S. reunion. Both nights they were selling pre-paid tickets to The Fool Returns to His Chair for $5 (instead of $15 door price). I was tempted Friday night, and succumbed Saturday night. Then I just needed someone to take.

Success!
Faire friends are infinitely valuable.

So Saturday night this past weekend I followed the sage advice of one Phoole and went to see a Fool, his chair, ... and some other fools.
Now, Im not very good at grok-ing. I'm much better at understanding. So I certainly can't claim to understand every moment of the show (as Luke Holladay can -- but you'd ned your program to get that joke), but I LOVED it. It also made me reconsider the place of Brittany, Christina, Bradgelina, and gossip mags in the modern world. I may not wipe them out during my impending 15secs of god-hood (oh yeah, did I mention? I'm working on a deal to have God's powers for just 15 secs, and planning what I'll do with them. You should watch, it's gonna be Awesome!).

Also, it was the last performance so they were able to be a little... crazy(-er?), which is Always fun! AND my companion got to take home a prop. It's the Bomb (litterally!)

Afterwards I talked my companion into staying out for a pizza from Konak's and TMLMTBGB.
I wonder if she ever did get any sleep before monday... ah well.
Still, I don't nknow if I should take her again, my date from a couple weeks ago rolled nice and low, but this one rolled a 6! I mean Really!? Can't roll a natural 20 for any saving throw, but hits a 6 on this no problem. Sheesh. Still, got to sit center-stage this time AND got to see (between Fool and TMLMTBGB) some neofutuurists I haven't seen since the first time they came to Belwah. Neat!

Bonus!
All three I had seen weeks ago that I really wanted to see again were still in!
I MUST get the script and song from That is Some Chekovian Shit
And Uptown Bunnies never gets old.

It was a fabulous night!
I hadn't really expected to spend money this weekend, but it was well spent.
I really need to not spend any this weekend.

But NEXT WEEKEND!!!!
Has been altered from previously announced plans.
More money (well, maybe), more local, and (most importantly) still includes Midnight Madness' RHPS -- on Sat this time so who knows what chaos might ensue?

In other news:
Fellow Gamer Geeks
I direct you to Circuit City
as much as they can be... well... less than stellar.
$10 less than anyone else makes points.

So by this time tomorrow I should have it in my hot little hands, and I think I know what I'll be doing with MY weekend.

Here's a hint, it involves MC Escher-like worlds and a lack of understanding the word "impossible"
